The Staff Union of Colleges of Education in Nigeria (SSUCOEN), FCE Obudu Chapter, today held a brief but memorable sendforth ceremony in honor of two retirees, Mr. David Odey and Mrs. Margaret-Mary Adi, at the College Pavilion.

The event, which was graced by SSUCOEN executives, featured the presentation of sendforth packages to the retirees in appreciation of their years of service and dedication.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of the union, Mrs. Juliana Odey, the Vice Chairman, thanked God for the lives of the celebrants. She encouraged them to make good use of the little token given, describing it as a mark of love and solidarity from the union.

In her vote of thanks, Mrs. Margaret-Mary Adi expressed deep gratitude to the union, describing the gesture as a miracle she never expected. She prayed for the continuous growth and strength of SSUCOEN.

On his part, Mr. David Odey also appreciated the union executives for their thoughtfulness and prayed for the progress and success of the union in all its endeavors.

Those present at the ceremony included Mr. Sunny Ubulishi (Assistant Secretary), Mr. Linus Inde (Financial Secretary), and Mr. Chukwuma Onwuoku (Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations).

The brief but heartwarming ceremony ended with prayers and warm wishes for the retirees as they begin a new phase of life.
