FCE, OBUDU INTRODUCES NEW AUTOMATED RESULTS PROCESSING

The ICT Unit of the Federal College of Education , Obudu on Tuesday, September 2,  2025 organised an enlightenment programme for students          on the new automated online results processing system. The event which held in Greg Ngaji Lecture Theater, was aimed at educating the students on the benefits and the functionality of the new system. Representing the Provost, the Deputy Provost, Dr. Hisham Aliyu Mohammed declared the event open as he emphasized the college management,s commitment to protecting the integrity of the students within the academic system. He highlighted the limitations of the traditional manual results display, which often led to difficulties in accessing results before they were destroyed. The new automated system addresses  these challenges by providing :

*Improved communication of performance : Students can now access their results online reducing errors and access issues .

*Direct Access:  students can view their results without relying on physical displays.

Making his own remarks,   Dr Mark Nke, Director of Quality Assurance Unit, emphasized the importance of quality control and compliance in maintaining a successful academic environment.  
Key factors contributing to this, according to him include:
*Conducive Learning Environment: Fostered by student cooperation and understanding.
*Productivity: Equally plays a significant role in academic success.
*Identification: students are required to carry their ID cards for identification and access purposes.

On his part, the Deputy Director of ICT Unit, Mr Nick Agba explained the components of the system and general academic conduct.  He advised students on: 
Solidifying students status: Paying fees after admission 
*Course Registration: ensuring accurate course Registration.
*Results access: Only students can access their results.
*Password Recovery: procedures for forgotten passwords.
*Credit Load management: Guidelines for managing credit loads including carry over courses.
The programme concluded with a Q & A session, leaving the students satisfied with the innovation.
